It is not uncommon for a new auto customer to plow through a series of quizzes and questions in their minds when considering to buy a new car.  To help you make that decision, we have provided you with seven of the most common things new car buyers think about before making the big decision.

1.  Compare your repair costs to what you owe on your current car.  If your existing car is costing you more to repair your car than what your car is truly worth, it is more than likely time to buy a new car.

2.  Look closely at your fuel costs. As of today, June 5, 2011, the cost of gas is sky high…close to $4.00 per gallon.  The majority of new cars coming into the automobile market are built to use oil and gas more efficiently or they are built using a hybrid platform.  If you gasp every time you fill up your gas guzzling machine, start checking out the newer automobiles like the Ford Focus we are showing here.  The sleek looking auto gets approximately 28 MPG around town and over 35 MPG on the highway.

3.  Have your children physically outgrown your current automobile? If you have children, and they can no longer fit comfortably in your car, it’s time to look at something that will make traveling easy and comfortable for everyone in the family.

4.  Rusting floorboards, dents, broken tail lights and parts are falling off your car. If rust is beginning to build up on both the inside and outside of your car, or if your car is in the shop for exterior parts being “fixed” more than three times per year,  this is a sure sign that your car is getting ready to literally fall apart, so start looking immediately for something new.  The safety of you and your family comes first, and if your car is falling apart, you could be creating a safety hazard for you, your family and other drivers on the road.

5.  You notice a cloud of thick black smoke when you accelerate. If you notice thick black smoke, this could be a sign that your gasoline is actually burning and other parts of your engine are breaking down.  As a result, you are spewing black smoke into the air, which again can be dangerous for you and a hazard for other drivers behind you who are trying to see through the smoke coming from your exhaust pipe.

6.  The car no longer fits your lifestyle. You may be currently driving a smaller car, and you have decided to take up gardening, golfing or another activity which requires a larger area of cargo space.  If this is the case, just get rid of the hassle by investing in a new car that you can easily afford and will suit your new hobbies and interests.

7.  You and your spouse are constantly saying “we really need to get a new car“. If this conversation keeps coming up over and over again in your family, then it’s time to start at least test driving a few new cars to see what is out there.  You may just be surprised at how easy your decision will be once you speak with a reputable dealership about a car that not only suits your needs but is efficient and affordable.
